Then one evening I was on a Zoom meeting with several families and a young man told a story about a recent event in his life and it brought me to tears. Hearing this young man speak reminded me of the importance of our voice and that each of us should be listened too at all levels of Government. And then it happened, a lightbulb went off in my head and it was time for my actions and words to match my thoughts. I became resolved that the City of Minnetonka should have a mayor that actively engages with the community, listens and acts on ideas and is willing to have hard conversations and make tough decisions. This in short is why I am running for the mayor.
